Top 10 most respected users on DigitalPoint forums

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

I’ve decided to create top 10 most respected users on DigitalPoint forums, some are my friends, some are people I just know and some are people that don’t know a damn about me.
So if you’re not in the list, won’t whine, just respect those who are. Rawr, that was me being bossy!

Top 10 most respected users on DigitalPoint forums

Photo preview:

1. Nintendo
He is “the king of the wackos” but actually he kindly replied to all my PMs regarding htaccess and mod_rewrite, why would anyone want to do this for free? No idea, that’s why he’s right on top.

2. Cheap SEO Services
I’ve had Cheap SEO Services in my MSN list for a while now, asking for a bit of advice, he gave it when needed but most of all he’s number two because simply everyone on DP recognizes his SEO skills which simply pwn!

3. Tearabite
I have an interview with Tearabite on my blog, mostly he’s on the forum with information and his website. Grownupgeek.com is his favorite+ website, I bet!

4. Buffalo
Buffalo.. is a girl! I’m serious about this one, had a laugh myself because of the nickname. Anyway, she’s active and she’s well respected on the forum.

5. Wisdomtool
He’s there for you on the digitalpoint forums, recently a moderator as far as I know. He’s there to help you out if you’re in trouble, business, marketing, anything he knows..

6. Jayshah
I’ve met Jay in my attempt to get a new sponsorship for a VPS. I had to pay for the VPS though, lower than most and that made me quite happy. Anyway we discussed on MSN about hosting, programming, web industry so he’s really a great guy and I always have a nice chat with. Consider this my personal pick, but it’s worth being in the top, I guarantee. He’s very skilled with hosting and all it’s server-side derivates.

7. Smyrl
Smyrl is a respected member on DigitalPoint, after asking around who you think will make it to the top, quite a few people yelled Smyrl. She’s (*Okay, I admit, I said He in the first place, but why are all the nice people girls, in my point of view*) a Zend certified engineer, I remember her (*again*) well in the PHP section of the website.

8. Deluxdon
He got recommended by many people on the thread, so I’m going to give him a well earned place in this top. It seems like Deluxdon pimps the blog world!

9. Getjimmy
A very active forum member, recommended by quite a few on the thread. He has over 14,000 posts so all my appreciation.

10. Davcheong
For being the first member to recommend a top 10 on DigitalPoint forums with a nice list, description included. Many other lists followed but he was the first so I’m giving him the 10th place on my list.

“High quality” content writters on DigitalPoint forums

Saturday, September 13th, 2008

Today I’ve came to this hilarious post on DigitalPoint forums after watching the RSS feed on my Google Desktop (It’s the only Google product that I agree they can’t take away from me.)

DanServices joined DigitalPoint forums in August 2008, fairly new, with 27 active posts.
He’s writing in the Buy – Sell – Trade / Services category of the forum, the following:

Lol. That’s pretty bad OP. I’m not great with English, but I think you should apologize for posting this thread.

This is so sad, I’d share a tear for my friends who buy content from DigitalPoint, I’m not going to say everyone is like this, but.. most “is”!

Digitalpoint uses blackhat techniques on their users

Friday, August 29th, 2008

I’m shocked, digitalpoint uses blackhat techniques on their users in a sneaky ebay cookie stuffing strategy.

eBay Sues Alleged ‘Cookie Stuffers’

SAN FRANCISCO (CN) – Three men defrauded eBay in a “cookie stuffing” scheme that made it appear the men’s companies should be paid commissions, eBay claims in Federal Court. It sued Shawn Hogan and Digital Point Solutions, Todd Dunning and Kessler’s Flying Circus, and Brian Dunning and Thunderwood Holdings.
eBay says the men devised software programs that, “unbeknownst to the [computer] user, redirected the user’s computer to the eBay Web site without the user actually clicking on an eBay advertisement link, or even becoming aware that they had left the page they were previously viewing. As a result, the eBay site would be prompted to drop an eBay cookie on the user’s computer even though the user never clicked on an eBay advertisement or even realized that their computer had ever visited the eBay site.”
The complaint continues: “once the cookie was stuffed on the user’s computer by one or more of the defendant’s any future revenue actions initiated by that user when the user later visited eBay intentionally, and not as a result of any advertisement places by defendants, appeared to be eligible for commissions payable to one of the defendants”.
eBay claims the defendants also used deceptive means to prevent it from discovering the fraud, and to conceal it. eBay demands compensatory, treble and punitive damages. It is represented by David Eberhart with O’Melveny & Myers.

Now the shocking part from my point of view, check why this got banned from DigitalPoint.. Jesus, something is going wrong!

DigitalPoint loves to beg

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

Some call it the freebie land, some the newbies land and most call it DP. One thing is for sure, they adore begging for free stuff, and guess what, not in the Freebie category, in the Services one.

AdBrite approved PayPal – hoax on DigitalPoint

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

Woooooot?! It’s the best news in the first half of 2008 in my opinion.

AdBrite approved PayPal: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=691083

I emailed AdBrite, and some other friends of mine did, and it’s fake, hoax, bad hopes, disappointment, agony, rawrrr.. I hate iiyama (Peon @ DP) now.

Advice: DO NOT EVER EVER BELIEVE A WORD POSTED BY A PEON ON DIGITALPOINT!

Social bookmarking services – Buy diggs, buy stumbles listed here

Saturday, May 24th, 2008

For quite a while now, DigitalPoint forums has banned posts that sell diggs and stumbles, and if you think from an ethical (=priest’s) point of view, they are right.

The thing is, I have seen the power of the mass social bookmarking, I have to create something really amazing in order to pop up my head out of the crowd (and it happens twice a year the most), or buy a few diggs to get it started.

Recommend in a comment a list of websites/people that sell social bookmarking services!

Pyramidal $, dumb people, digitalpoint

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

Sounds interesting huh?! Well, I wasn’t even browsing the forums today, I’ve just seen it on main page of the forum as the most active thread, and obviously the link baiting title made me expect seeing a peon with 6 posts trying to get everyone on the forum rich! *Oh thank you thank you*

peon.png

I’ve then discovered the secret, “making money with paypal as seen on oprah” – read carefully the message, and we’ll laugh at the end of the post and make some comments.

Make Lots of Money Quick, Easy & LEGAL with Paypal

AS SEEN ON OPRAH!!

PAYPAL VERIFIES THAT THIS $6 INVESTMENT SCHEME
IS 100% LEGAL AND IS A BIG HIT THIS YEAR SEE
THEIR NOTE BELOW OR ASK THEM DIRECTLY… THIS
SCHEME MIGHT TAKE 15-30 MINUTES AND JUST $6,

BUT IT IS 100% WORTH IT TO MAKE THOUSANDS SO
QUICKLY. THIS IS NOT ANOTHER SCAM THAT
TAKES LOTS OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY; THIS IS
A NO RISK INVESTMENT THAT WILL MAKE YOU
THOUSANDS OF DOLLAR VERY EASILY AND QUICKLY.

Making Money – This Really Works Keep in mind that everything
stated below is 100% legal as stated by the U.S. Post Office
(1-800-725-2161). A little while back, I was browsing through newsgroups,
just like you are now, and came across an article similar to this that said
you could make thousands of pounds within weeks with only an initial
investment of $6.00! : Anyway it said that you have to send $1.00 to each
of the following names on the list, stated at the end of this article using
Paypal. You don’t have to be preferred or verified to transfer and receive
money, so you lose no money through transfers. Now honestly, what is six
pounds, especially out of a Paypal account. In exchange you will make
thousands in the first few months. You then place your own name and
email address in the bottom of the list at #6, and post the article in at
least 200 newsgroups. (There are thousands of newsgroups). No catch, that
was it. So after thinking it over, and talking to a few people first, I thought about
trying it.

I sent out my measly $6.00 to the six people on the list. Well GUESS WHAT!!…
Within 7 days, I started: getting $$$$$ in my account! I was shocked! I figured
it would end soon, but the CASH just kept coming in. In my first week, I made
about $25.00. By the end of the second week I had made a total of over $1,000.00!
In the third week I had over $15,060.00 and it’s still growing. This is now my
fourth week and I have made a total of just over $26,000.00 and it’s still coming
in rapidly. It’s certainly worth $6.00 and 6 minutes to send it out. This program
WORKS, all you have to do is try it, and waste some pocket change. You could find
six dollar lying around the house. There is absolutely nothing you could lose. Just
follow the 3 basic steps below to make thousands in just a few days, weeks, or months,
it all depends on how many posts of this letter you put in message boards
or send as emails.

Here’s how it works: When you post 200 messages all over the internet, it is
estimated that at least 15 people will respond and send you a $1.00. ($15.00).
Those 15 will Post 200 Posts each and 225 people send you $1.00 ($225.00) Those
225 people Post 200 Posts each and 3,375 people send you $1.00 ($3,375.00) Those
3,375 post 200 posts each and 759,375 people send you $1.00 ($759,375.00) At
this point your name drops off the list, but so far you have received $813,615.00.
Note: I’m not saying this is going to make everyone 800 grand, but lets say even
1 person out of 200 tries this program, you are still going to make 50,000 pounds
anywhere from 1 month to 6 months max!!!!! You can also copy this letter and
email it to some of your friends and associates, it’s a guarantee that some of them
will be interested and give it a go, the more that do the more you make.

INSTRUCTIONS 1. Immediately send $1.00 to each of the six people on the list using
Paypal, and in the comment (Subject) section type “Please add me to your list”. Below
are the emails that you transfer the money into:

Paypal accounts to send 1 dollar to :

1) *censored*
2) *censored*
3) *censored*
4) *censored*
5) *censored*
6) *censored*

2.After sending the money to the first 6 people on the list, you can remove the name
next to the #1 on the list and move the rest of the names up one position (#2 becomes
#1, #3 becomes #2, etc?) Then place your name in the #6 position. Then save it.

3. When you have completed the instructions, take this letter and then go to
(Google, Yahoo,…) and type in (Making Money Message board, Money Message Board,
Money Forum, Free money Forum, or anything along those lines that are forums) and
start posting your copy of this message at least 200 times, to as many unique message
boards as you can, or more. The more times you post this at a unique board, the more
money you will make. You can email your message to as many people you can but
remember, the more you post and email the more money you make! Keep a copy of
this letter so you can use it a second time. Post it out again in six months, but Post it
with the addresses you receive with each pound. It will work better the second time.
Estimates are at 20,000 to 50,000 new users, every day, with thousands of those
joining the actual Internet. Remember, play FAIRLY and HONESTLY and this will
work. If you don’t have a paypal account you can copy the link below and follow the
instructions. It’s totally secure, costs you nothing to set-up and is a very useful way of
transferring and more importantly receiving money. You will be amazed every time
you check your account to see how much money has been paid into it, and this money
goes straight in without any deductions. To sign up for Paypal follow this link or click the logo, just
make sure that you use the same email address for your paypall account that you
put in this list, that’s how your payments are made.

Forward Message

Ooookay.. *laugh time*

Let’s rewind this..

INSTRUCTIONS 1. Immediately send $1.00 to each of the six people on the list using
Paypal, and in the comment (Subject) section type “Please add me to your list”. Below
are the emails that you transfer the money into:

Hahaha.. *laugh more*

Did it work for him? Yes! *woot!?*

Why? Because tons of people have nothing else to do than to hope in a get rich quick.

Purpose achieved? Probabbly, as he might be a 1000 post user with a new registration, covered his things up, made a few bucks.

Worth doing it? For $50, maybe, but the time and effort is big, trying to write all that *crap*

I conclude by asking, how much do you expect that he made out of this dumb forum post?

DigitalPoint offers > Google adsense, YPN, anything

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

Money online

I’ve tried them all, the best so far was Google Adsense but oh well, they have 0 support team to really care for small-medium sized publishers, thus I got myself pretty much pissed after the Adsense experience.

There is nothing in this world to compare with DigitalPoint, as the offers I’m getting for placing advertisements on my sites from there are.. “so decent”.

5 gold rules on digitalpoint buy/sell/trade:

  • » I need to make sure it’s well written, so the buyer understands exactelly what he is buying, this way I get myself saved from tons of private messages back and forward. (believe me it’s VERY important)
  • » I always go 1-2% cheaper than the competition. Of course this is just a marketing theory as I can’t compare sites with differite traffic/demographics/geolocation but one thing is for sure, I go cheaper than most with only a bit.
  • » I never oversell, I need to give the sense of quality thus I always keep my word when I say I’m only placing 5 banners in rotation and not just “slip” one in. It’s not ethical, it doesn’t work. Don’t oversell, keep the idea of Quality!
  • » Befriend the buyer for a longterm relationship. I usually contact the buyer several days before the deal expires to assure he was satisfied, if not (never had a case yet), make yourself willing to give a bonus if he renews. If he renews just like that, give him a bonus for renewing. It doesn’t have to be a huge bonus, it just has to be “a bonus” to assure his satisfaction.
  • » Always request an iTrader to keep log of buyers, and also have yourself a list with buyers name, email, username, website, what he bought, etc..

Worked like a charm, made over $300 in the past 2 weeks out this month (February 2008), and I usually get a deal daily when I need it, and some by simply waiting. Try it out!
